Visit to the Pumpkin Patch (and other things Halloween)
Hi all!
We have really fallen behind on our blogging recently. Here are a few posts to catch you up on Blake's last few months! I will start with our October festivities which mainly centered around our trip to the pumpkin patch.
And then of course I mom had to put him in some ridiculous Halloween costumes...ridiculously cute that is!
First he wore a pumpkin costume that his Aunt Sarah wore when she was little.
Then we dressed him up like a burrito for dress like a burrito day at Chipotle.

Week 3
Unfortunately this week we were all a bit under the weather. Josh got the worst of it but Blake did get his first stuffy nose. Thankfully we are all feeling much better at this point! Here are pictures of Blake's activities this week.
Mommy played on the floor with me and we read our first book together!
I took my first bottle from Dad!
I ate so much one night that Mom and Dad took pictures of my hilarious Buddha belly!
And of course practiced all of my new faces...
First Bath
For part of my bath I did this...
But for most of it I did this....
And afterwards I got to be warm and snugly in my baby bath robe!

Four Generation Picture
We were priviledged to have four generations of Josh's side of the family with us last weekend and we captured the moment with this picture.
In the back are Josh's parents. In the middle Grandma and Grandpa Mummert (Cheri's parents) are on the left and Grandma and Grandpa Carvalho are on the right. Josh's brothers and sisters are in the front.
Week 2
Blake is growing like a weed! He weighed 7lbs 8oz at the end of this week. Already he is starting to try to hold his head up and look around! We spent the rest of the week meeting new family and celebrating Daddy's 25th birthday. Josh wanted to go to Huhot for his birthday dinner so we put Blake in the stroller and walked to old town with some friends. He seemed to enjoy the ride in the stroller and slept all the way through dinner. Operation birthday dinner out was a success!
Here are some other moments from week 2:
Sleeping and Thinking...
Getting ready for bed in the sleepy sack.
Weekend sleep-in in the big bed.
All dressed up and ready to go out for our first visit outside of the house.
Our attempt at getting a picture of Blake in the outfit his Dad wore home from the hospital. Unfortunately, he was not having it so we will have to try again!
More from Week 1
A few more moments from Blake's first week of life!
I loved how the Doc bundled him up after his circumcision.
In his carseat ready to go home from the hospital.
Mom and Baby ready to be wheeled out!
First of many couch naps with Daddy!

First Doctor's Visit
We went to the pediatrician for the first time this week! Baby Blake did very well and was at least mildly cooperative. He weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces already! Hard to believe he is already growing so fast. I really liked Dr. Ottolenghi. He has been a family doc for more than 20 years and he is from Worthington, Ohio which is just down the street from where I grew up. It is nice to have a personal connection with the doc who will be taking care of our little guy.
