5 months!
On January 6th Blake turned 5 months old! As you can tell from the pictures he is not sitting very still these days. Blake is ready to be on the move and tries to get from place to place with whatever combination of rolling, wiggling and squirming he can come up with.

4 Months Old Already!
At Blake's 4 month doctor visit he weighed 15lbs 3oz and was 25 inches long! He got a lot longer the past two months but not much heavier. He went from the 85th percentile in weight and the 18th percentile in height at month two to the 5oth percentile in both weight and height at month 4. Other than that he is growing well!
So far this month he has been exploring everything with his hands and mouth. If he can get his hands on it, into the mouth it goes! He has also started the baby giggle which has to be the most precious sound on earth. When he is allowed to lay on the floor for awhile he will often flip from back to front now. He has flipped both ways but can't connect them! We will see what month 5 bring us :)
New Years Eve
We went to a fun New Year's Eve party at some friends house. They had a cozy house with a roaring fire and plenty of fun games. Such a good time! Blake enjoyed the party as well but not by playing games. Instead he curled up by the fire and fell asleep. Pretty adorable!
Christmas Time in Iowa!
Our last day of school was the 21st of December and we headed out to Iowa on Saturday afternoon. We decided to leave during Blake's afternoon nap because we were not sure how well he would do in the car for 10 hours. We were pretty blessed because he slept for 5 hours straight. He was happy and content for awhile but of course started screaming through Omaha and screamed until we stopped on the other side of the city to get some dinner. After dinner Daddy took over driving so I could ride in the back seat with Blake and he was pretty conent until we pulled into the farm driveway.
Once we got inside he was very social with Aunt Gayle, Grandma and Grandpa.
He had a blast meeting his Aunt Tracey and Uncle Jim for the first time. He also spent a lot of time watching his second cousin(?) Jimmy. Jimmy did such a great job of playing with Blake and keeping him entertained.
Of course, he got plenty of presents! Here he is in the family pile. Luckily, not all of those are for him.
Getting to share Blake with the people we love was our favorite christmas present this year! He is so fun and is growing up so quickly!
3 Months Old!
At his 3 month doctor's appointment Blake weighed 13lbs 7os. He has pretty much doubled his birth weight! He is 21" long at this point. This month he learned to use his hands and flipped himself from his tummy to his back a few times!
Here are some of our best moments from month 3...
Blake and I took his first airplane ride to visit my grammie and papa in Kansas City. We had a great time with all of my aunts and unlces celebrating my papa's birthday. This was the first time Blake met many of his great-aunts and great-uncles. He had a fantastic time and did pretty well on both plane rides!
The moby wrap was a life saver for navigating the airport. I highly recommend it for anyone going through the airport with a little one!
