Christmas Time in Iowa!

Our last day of school was the 21st of December and we headed out to Iowa on Saturday afternoon. We decided to leave during Blake's afternoon nap because we were not sure how well he would do in the car for 10 hours. We were pretty blessed because he slept for 5 hours straight. He was happy and content for awhile but of course started screaming through Omaha and screamed until we stopped on the other side of the city to get some dinner. After dinner Daddy took over driving so I could ride in the back seat with Blake and he was pretty conent until we pulled into the farm driveway. Once we got inside he was very social with Aunt Gayle, Grandma and Grandpa.
He had a blast meeting his Aunt Tracey and Uncle Jim for the first time. He also spent a lot of time watching his second cousin(?) Jimmy. Jimmy did such a great job of playing with Blake and keeping him entertained.
Of course, he got plenty of presents! Here he is in the family pile. Luckily, not all of those are for him.
Getting to share Blake with the people we love was our favorite christmas present this year! He is so fun and is growing up so quickly!
